Description:
Aevum Obscurum is a turn-based strategy game similar to Risk. The players are pitted against each other in the 14th century as the various powers in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The collect taxes to build armies, navies and fortifications in order to make war upon one another.
The game is surprisingly easy to play. It looks daunting at first, but there is a very simple tutorial that teaches the various aspects of the game. Beyond the scope of the tutorial, there is not much more to learn and it is fairly easy to discover it yourself.
If you enjoy war-games, then this one is definitely for you. It brings to mind classic Risk or Axis and Allies gaming long into the night.
